The following conditions apply for group bookings (admission), guided tours and events for groups (admission and event fees) in the Karl May Museum. Deviating or contrary terms and conditions of the customer, which conflict with these conditions, shall only become part of this contract if they are confirmed in writing by the Karl May Museum.
Section 1 Conclusion of Contracts, Event Details
When booking, the Customer invites the Karl May Museum to conclude a contract. The Karl May Museum accepts this invitation via telephone, postal, e-mail or fax message. The booking is then binding and can only be cancelled in accordance with the conditions below.
Section 2 Prices and Payment
The agreed fee does not include VAT, as the service is VAT-exempt per Section 4, 20a of the German VAT Code (UStG). The customer pays in advance at the cash desk or by invoice.
Section 3 Shipping and Delivery
The confirmations shall be shipped at the risk of the customer to the e-mail address he or she specifies.
Section 4 Cancellation
Bookings can be cancelled or changed in writing. The date of receipt of such cancellations by the Karl May Museum shall determine whether a cancellation fee is due, and the amount of such fees. Changes or cancellation shall be free of charge up to 10 working days before the visit to the museum. For changes or cancellations later than 10 working days before visit to the museum, a processing fee of € 10.00 shall be payable for each booking. In addition, for every cancellation up to 2 working days before the visit to the museum, € 25.00 shall be payable for each booking; for bookings cancelled later than 2 days before the visit to the museum, 100% of the respective fee shall be due.
If the customer fails to appear at the agreed time and date, their entitlement to the service shall be void, without reimbursement of the fee. Invoice amounts as yet unpaid at this time shall remain due and payable in full.
Section 5 Data Protection
Personal data of the customer shall be processed in compliance with the data protection regulations applicable to the contract. Data shall be collected, processed and used to the extent required for the contractual relationship. The customer shall consent to transmission of this data to third parties commissioned to fulfil the contract, where this is necessary to allow concluded contracts to be fulfilled.
Section 6 Final Provisions
The Karl May Museum reserves the right to change these conditions at any time without stating grounds.
Ancillary agreements and amendments to the contract shall only be legally valid if made in writing.
Should one of the terms of this contract, either wholly or partly, be legally ineffective, the validity of the other provisions shall not be affected. By way of adaptation, the invalid provision shall be replaced with another appropriate provision economically as close as possible to the intent of the contractual parties had they considered the invalidity of the provision.
The place of performance and jurisdiction is Dresden.
