Since 2003, the Karl May Foundation has published the museum magazine “The Observer by the Elbe” – based on the name of the magazine Karl May wrote for from 1875 on – twice a year.
The magazine contains articles in German language on the focus topics Karl May, ethnology and the adventure genre and provides information on the museum’s work. Academic articles in “The Observer by the Elbe” the accompany current annual or showcase exhibitions of the Karl May Museum.
Members of our Association of Friends receive the “Observer by the Elbe” free of charge.
